October 12, 2022 | Other Activities

On Wednesday morning (12/10) Deputy Chairperson of the DPD RI, Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, visited BPS Bengkulu Province. The arrival was welcomed by the Head of General Affairs, Sahranudin, along with functional officials of Associate Expert Statistics. During the visit, the Sultan expressed his support for the Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) data collection which will be carried out in a few days. “In order for development to be right on target, accurate data is needed as a zero point. Regsosek data collection is one way to make it happen,” said the Sultan.
Furthermore, the Sultan also discussed the process of revising the Statistical Law No. 16/1997. He hoped that the results could be realized soon so that it would further strengthen the implementation of statistical activities in Indonesia in order to produce more quality data. "Hopefully, this revision will be the first door to better data legitimacy," he said.
Finally, he also supports the implementation of the 2023 Agricultural Census. He advised all BPS personnel and also the community to play an active role in supporting its implementation next year.
