Accommodation Services Statistical Survey

BPS has a survey that aims to collect data on accommodation service businesses. The survey is the Accommodation Services Statistical Survey. Some of the statistics produced by this survey include the occupancy rate of hotel rooms, the number of guests, and the average length of stay of guests.

This survey consists of 2 surveys which are differentiated based on the frequency of implementation. The Monthly Accommodation Services Statistics Survey (VHTS) is conducted every month with more concise contents and only collects some of the main indicator data, as well as the Annual Accommodation Services Statistics Survey (VHTL) which is conducted once a year with more complete and detailed questions.

The results of these two surveys can be seen in the Official Statistical Gazette "Hotel Room Occupancy Rate Development" which is released at the beginning of each month and "Hospitality Statistics" publication which is published every year.
