Bengkulu's economy continues to experience growth. In Quarter II-2023 versus Quarter II-2022, experienced
growth of 4.18 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, business field
other services experienced the highest growth of 10.32 percent and in terms of
expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure (PK-P) component experienced
the highest growth was 10.61 percent.
Meanwhile, Quarter II-2023 compared to the previous quarter also experienced growth of 6.73 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the field
Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security businesses experienced the highest growth of 22.35 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure (PK-P) component experienced the highest growth of 27.55 percent.
"The economic structure of Bengkulu Province in the second quarter of 2023 is still dominated
by agriculture, forestry and fisheries business fields amounting to 27.77 percent.
Meanwhile, the expenditure side is still dominated by the expenditure component
household consumption, namely 61.34 percent," said the Head of BPS Bengkulu Province, Ir.
