The working population of Bengkulu is dominated by elementary school graduates. Based on the results of the BPS National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), August 2023, the number of Bengkulu residents who work with an elementary school education level or below (no/never gone to school/not finished elementary school/finished elementary school) is 35.30 percent. Meanwhile, the working population with diploma I/II/III degrees and universities is 2.10 percent and 13.02 percent, respectively.

Education level can indicate the quality and productivity of the workforce.
