Abstract

Quarter III-2019 Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Bengkulu Province is 99.17. Illustrates that consumers' perceptions of economic conditions in quarter III-2019 are pessimistic when compared to the previous quarter (index 127.39).

Pessimistic consumer perceptions of economic conditions are caused by declining current income (index 95.90) and volume of consumption of goods / services (index 100.00). Meanwhile, inflation has less effect on total household expenditure (index 104.65).

Bengkulu Province ITK in the fourth quarter of 2019 is estimated to be pessimistic with an index value of 95.48. This indicates that consumers' perceptions of economic conditions are not so good.

Consumer pessimism in quarter IV-2019 was influenced by the decline in the purchase of durable goods (index 71.29). Meanwhile, household income estimates have increased compared to the previous quarter (index 109.28).
