Abstract

In February 2022, Bengkulu City experienced a deflation of 0.10 percent. Based on the monitoring of the Central Statistics Agency in 90 cities in Indonesia, 53 cities experienced deflation and 37 cities experienced inflation. The highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 2.08 percent and the lowest in Tarakan, Palangkaraya, and Palembang at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the highest inflation occurred in Kupang at 0.65 percent and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at 0.01 percent.
  • The Bengkulu City deflation in February 2022 occurred due to a decline in prices as indicated by the decline in several price indices which were quite large in several expenditure groups. The expenditure groups that experienced the highest deflation were the food, beverage and tobacco group at 0.73 percent; followed by housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 0.49 percent
