Bengkulu Province Economy Quarter I-2023: 4.07 Percent (Y-on-Y) and -2.38 Percent (Q-to-Q).

• The economy of Bengkulu Province, based on the size of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), at current prices for the first quarter of 2023 reached IDR 23.02 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached IDR 12.44 trillion.

• Bengkulu Province's economy in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter experienced a growth contraction of minus 2.38 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the Education Services business field experienced the highest growth contraction of minus 9.82 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Government Consumption Expenditure (PK-P) component experienced the highest growth contraction of minus 30.24 percent.

• Bengkulu Province's economy in the first quarter of 2023 against the first quarter of 2022 grew by 4.07 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, other service business fields experienced the highest growth of 10.85 percent. From the expenditure side, the component of Consumption Expenditures for Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 9.12 percent.

• The economic structure of Bengkulu Province in the first quarter of 2023 is still dominated by the agricultural, forestry and fishery businesses of 28.62 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, it was still dominated by the household consumption expenditure component, which was 59.99 percent.
