Abstract
The total work force for Bengkulu Province in February
2023 was 1,130,173 people, an increase of 37,391 people compared to February
2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 1.23 percentage
points.
• The working population was 1,093,853 people, an
increase of 38,081 people compared to February 2022. Jobs that experienced the
largest percentage increase compared to February 2022 were in the Agriculture,
Forestry and Fishery Sectors (1.44 percentage points). Meanwhile, the sector
that experienced the biggest decline was the Manufacturing Industry Sector
(1.35 percentage points).
• A total of people (70.26 percent) work in informal
activities, down by 0.36 percentage points compared to February 2022.
• The open unemployment rate (TPT) for February 2023
was 3.21 percent, down 0.17 percentage points compared to February 2022.
• The percentage of underemployed workers increased by
0.65 percentage points, while the percentage of part-time workers decreased by
16.21 percentage points compared to February 2022.
• There are 7,510 people (0.48 percent of the working
age population) affected by COVID-19, namely Not in the Labor Force (BAK) due
to COVID-19 (2,814 people), temporarily not working due to COVID-19 (526
people), and working residents who experienced reduced working hours due to
COVID-19 (4,170 people).
