Abstract
• The Gender Inequality Index (IKG)
in 2022 was 0.478, down 0.042 points compared to 2021 which was 0.520.
• This improvement is influenced by
the equality of achievements in the dimensions of reproductive health and
empowerment.
• The improvement in the
reproductive health dimension is influenced by the improvement in the indicator
of women giving birth not living in health facilities which has decreased from
23.2 percent in 2021 to 12.1 percent in 2022.
• The improvement in the empowerment
dimension was influenced by the improvement in the indicator that the
percentage of women 25 years and over with senior high school education and
above increased higher than that of men. The percentage of women will increase
from 37.43 percent in 2021 to 38.72 percent, while the percentage of men will
increase from 41.64 percent to 42.62 percent in 2022.
