Abstract
In December 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Bengkulu Province was 0.84 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 105.96. y-on-y inflation in Bengkulu City was 1.17 percent with a CPI of 106.35 while y-on-y deflation in Muko Muko was 0.16 percent with a CPI of 104.79.
Y-on-y inflation in Bengkulu Province occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most expenditure group price indices, namely: clothing and footwear group by 0.31 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.73 percent; health group by 2.57 percent; transportation group by 0.30 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 3.49 percent; education group by 1.91 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 2.75 percent; and personal care and other services group by 5.94 percent. While the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 0.21 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.34 percent; the information, communication and financial services group by 0.75 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in December 2024 Bengkulu Province was 0.34 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in December 2024 was 0.84 percent.
