Abstract

In 2016, BPS has carried out full data collection activities or the 2016 Economic Census listing (SE2016). To obtain a more detailed description of the activities of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSEs) and Medium Enterprises (UMB), in 2017 the SE2016 was continued. The results of the Advanced SE2016 data collection can be used as a basis for analysis and formulation of policies including measuring the performance of Micro Small Enterprises (MSEs) by providing an overview of the characteristics / quality of human resources, conditions of capital accessibility, business prospects and financial performance. This information is expected to contribute to the government to help the development of MSEs through guidance and formulation of regulations that are able to protect and improve MSE performance. Thus, the role of MSEs in local economic activities is getting stronger. Employment also increased.
