For this reason, the government encourages the creation of single data through the creation of an integrated information system," said the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki in a keynote speech delivered via video at the National Coordination Meeting for Complete Data Collection of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises 2023 in Karawang, 27 /7.
This national coordination meeting (Rakornas) is a follow-up to the cooperation between the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) and the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in providing a cooperative and MSME database through the Complete Data Collection of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (PL). -KUMKM). The National Coordination Meeting was attended by more than 400 participants consisting of BPS and Kemenkop UKM leaders, Heads of provincial BPS throughout Indonesia, Heads of provincial offices dealing with MSMEs throughout Indonesia, Heads of district/city BPS, as well as representatives of the central BPS and other provincial BPS.
In his remarks when opening the national coordination meeting, Main Secretary of BPS, Atqo Mardiyanto conveyed that the President of the Republic of Indonesia gave special instructions to the Coordinating Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises and the Head of BPS to provide a database of the number, line of business, and distribution of Micro, Small Business, and Cooperative Actors. This is stated in Part Two (Number 21) of RI Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2022.
PL-KUMKM has been carried out by the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises since 2022 in 240 districts/cities. In 2023, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises together with BPS will continue data collection covering 215 districts/cities in 32 provinces. PL-KUMKM2023 field implementation will be held on 15 September-14 October 2023.
PL-KUMKM aims to obtain profiles of cooperatives and SMEs, such as place of business, entrepreneur characteristics, and business characteristics. "With this collaboration, MSME data not only belongs to the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, but also BPS and other ministries/other ministries," Atqo explained.
