Bengkulu, InfoPublik, Bengkulu City's month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in February 2024 was 0.61 percent and Bengkulu City's year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in February 2024 was 0.76 percent. Meanwhile, year on year (y-o-y) inflation in Bengkulu City was 3.42 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.92.

"The commodities that dominantly contributed to inflation from month to month in February in Bengkulu City were red chilies, purebred chicken meat, rice, air transportation and cayenne pepper. Meanwhile, the dominant commodities that contributed to deflation in Bengkulu City were dencis fish, red onions, watermelon, garlic, and disposable baby diapers/diapers," said Head of the Bengkulu Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Win Rizal, in the Official Statistics News (BRS) Press Release, Friday (1/3/2024) at the Bengkulu Province BPS Office, KM. 8.

Win Rizal also revealed that in February 2024, expenditure groups will contribute/contribute to y-on-y inflation. "namely: food, beverage and tobacco group at 2.25 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.04 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.20 percent; equipment, equipment and maintenance group household routine 0.02 percent; transportation group 0.43 percent;
communications and financial services by 0.02 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.05 percent; education group at 0.08 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.18 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.16 percent. "Meanwhile, the expenditure group that contributed/contributed to y-on-y deflation was the health group at 0.01 percent," explained Win Rizal.

Before releasing the CPI/inflation for Bengkulu City, Win Rizal also conveyed the inflation conditions in Mukomuko Regency. "The CPI for Bengkulu Province comes from the CPI/inflation of two regions, namely Bengkulu City and Mukomuko Regency, so the CPI/Inflation for Bengkulu Province will come out," explained Win Rizal.

Apart from releasing CPI/inflation, BPS Bengkulu Province also released Farmer Exchange Rates, Export and Import Developments, Hotel Room Occupancy Rates, Transportation Developments, and Harvest Area and Rice Production.
Also participating in this Press Release were representatives of the Bengkulu Province OPD, Head of the Bengkulu City BPS, representatives of the Bengkulu City Communications and Information Service, and mass media journalists.
