The agriculture and trade sectors play an important role in Bengkulu's economy. In the first quarter of 2024, the economy of Bengkulu Province was dominated by the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries business sectors which contributed 29.07 percent and followed by Wholesale and Retail Trade which contributed 13.53 percent. Therefore, as an institution that produces quality and useful data, BPS Bengkulu Province continues to collaborate with various parties in order to maintain the quality and utilization of data for development.
This collaboration is reflected in the visit of the BPS Bengkulu Province Production Statistics Team to the Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Service (TPHP) of Bengkulu Province, Monday, June 24, 2024. This visit discussed, among other things, support in making the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) data collection a success in general, and to increase the response rate of data collection, especially for Legal Entity Agricultural Companies (UPB) in Bengkulu Province.
In addition, the Team led by Fitri Aryati, SST., M.Si, also visited the Bengkulu Province Industry and Trade Office with the aim of building support and socializing the 2024 Annual Manufacturing Industry Company Survey (STPIM) data collection activities. STPIM begins with the Initial Company Directory Update (DPA) which aims to obtain an up-to-date Large and Medium Industrial Company Directory (IBS) in the Bengkulu Province area. This IBS Directory updating activity was held from May 1 to June 31, 2024.
