GROWING 6.79 PERCENT, AGRICULTURAL SECTOR STILL DOMINATES BENGKULU'S ECONOMY

 //Release Attended by Bengkulu Provincial Secretary The Bengkulu Provincial Economy in Quarter II-2024 compared to Quarter I-2024 (q-to-q) experienced a growth of 6.79 percent. This was conveyed by the Head of the Bengkulu Province BPS, Win Rizal, at the Official News Release of Economic Growth Statistics, which was included by the Bengkulu Provincial Secretary Isnan Fajri, Monday (5/8/2024).

Growth occurred in 15 business fields, except for two other business fields that experienced growth contraction. The three businesses that experienced the highest growth were Transportation and Warehousing by 14.73 percent, Other Services by 10.87 percent, and Education Services by 9.67 percent. Meanwhile, the two business fields that experienced growth contraction were Mining and Quarrying by minus 26.38 percent and Financial Services and Insurance by minus 1.19 percent.

In the second quarter of 2024, the economic structure of Bengkulu Province is still dominated by the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries business sector at 30.82 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it is still dominated by the household consumption expenditure component, which is 61.18 percent.

Meanwhile, in various Regional Secretary of Bengkulu Province, Isnan Fajri, emphasized the importance of the economic growth figures released by BPS as a basis for the Bengkulu Provincial Government in determining steps to improve the welfare and welfare of the Bengkulu people.

Isnan also hopes that the good synergy between the Bengkulu Provincial Government and the BPS of Bengkulu Province will continue and be improved. He added that this economic growth figure is very important as an effort to identify deficiencies and things that need to be improved, so that the resulting policies can be appropriate and appropriate.
