In October 2024, Bengkulu Province experienced deflation of 0.09 percent (m-to-m), with Bengkulu City experiencing deflation of 0.03 percent and Mukomuko experiencing deflation of 0.25 percent. The commodities that predominantly contributed to m-to-m deflation in October 2024 included: red chilies, gasoline, eggplants, jengkol, potatoes, cucumbers, disposable diapers, air transportation, watermelons, and green chilies.
Meanwhile, in September 2024, Bengkulu Province's export value reached US$ 12.64 million. This export value fell by 10.03 percent compared to August 2024 which was recorded at US$ 14.05 million, and increased by 19.43 percent compared to September 2023 which was recorded at US$ 10.58 million. The commodities exported by Bengkulu Province in September 2024 were coal worth US$ 10.18 million (80.55 percent), rubber worth US$ 1.22 million (9.65 percent), palm shells worth US$ 0.85 million (6.70%), leeches worth US$ 2.21 thousand (0.02 percent), and other commodities worth US$ 3.90 thousand (3.08 percent).
On the other hand, the development of Bengkulu Province's transportation in September 2024 showed that the number of sea transportation traffic was recorded at 188 ships, an increase of 3.87 percent compared to sea transportation traffic in August 2024 which was recorded at 181 ships. Meanwhile, the traffic of goods transported through Fatmawati Soekarno Airport in September 2024 was recorded at 155,951 kg, an increase of 15.74 percent compared to August 2024 which was recorded at 134,744 kg.
