BPS BENGKULU PROVINCE PARTICIPATES IN EDUCATING THE PUBLIC REGARDING INFLATION

In order to increase public understanding and awareness regarding the issue of inflation and its impact on the economy and to make the National Food Inflation Control Movement (GNPIP) a success, the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Bengkulu Province held a series of activities for the 2024 Inflation Education Festival (FLEKSI). The activity was also intended as a refreshment for policy makers, TPID (Regional Inflation Control Team) and TPID Partners.

In this event, BPS Bengkulu Province was invited as a resource person to convey information regarding inflation. On that occasion, Reny Puspasari, SST, ME (Associate Expert Statistician of BPS Bengkulu Province), explained the concept of inflation, its calculation method and its differences with the Price Development Index (IPH). It is hoped that the public will have an understanding of inflation so that public awareness of inflation and public contribution to controlling inflation in Bengkulu can increase.
