Abstract

  • The Bengkulu Province NTP in December 2018 was recorded at 94.08 which means that the purchasing power of farmers in Bengkulu Province was still a deficit of 5.92 percent. This figure is lower than the November 2018 NTP of 95.27 or down by 1.25 percent. The decline in Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) occurred in almost all sub-sectors except the horticulture sub-sector. The NTP changes in December 2018 for each sub-sector compared to November 2018 were as follows: food crop subsector (NTPP) 101.45 (down 0.13 percent), horticulture sub-sector NTP (NTPH) 118.61 (up 1.80 percent) , Smallholder estate crop subsector (NTPR) 79.01 (down 3.53 percent), livestock subsector NTP (NTPT) 106.23 (down 0.60 percent) and fisheries / fisheries subsector (NTN) NTP 97.97 (down 0.75 percent). Capture fisheries subsector (NTNT) NTP 107.29 (down 0.04 percent) and aquaculture subsector NTP (NTNB) 94.48 (down 1.05 percent).
  • Agricultural Business Exchange is recorded at 103.88 or decreases by 0.88 percent compared to November 2018 which was recorded at 104.80. The decline in Agricultural Business Exchange Value (NTUP) almost occurs in all sub-sectors except food crops, horticulture and capture fisheries. The changes in NTUP of each sub-sector are as follows: food crops 0.43 percent, horticulture 2.31 percent, smallholder crops -3.16 percent, livestock -0.69 percent, fisheries -0.20 percent, capture fisheries 0.55 percent and aquaculture -0.51 percent.
