Abstract

  • The Bengkulu Province NTP in May 2019 was recorded at 92.82, which means that the purchasing power of farmers in Bengkulu Province was still a deficit of 7.18 percent. This figure is lower than the NTP in April 2019 of 94.69 or down by 1.98 percent. The decline in Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) occurs in the food crop subsector, smallholder plantations, and capture fisheries. The NTP changes in May 2019 for each sub-sector compared to April 2019 are as follows: food crop subsector (NTPP) 97.41 (down 1.94 percent), horticulture sub-sector NTP (NTPH) 118.22 (up 0.54 percent) , NTP smallholder plantation sub-sector (NTPR) 78.00 (down 4.28 percent), livestock sub-sector NTP (NTPT) 107.01 (up 0.48 percent) and fishery / fisheries sub-sector (NTN) NTP 97.15 (up 0.40 percent). The capture fisheries sub-sector (NTNT) NTP was 103.21 (down 0.83 percent) and the aquaculture subsector (NTNB) NTP was 94.86 (up 0.91 percent).
  • Agricultural Business Exchange is recorded at 102.70 or decreases by 0.98 percent compared to April 2019 which was recorded at 103.72. Decline in Agricultural Business Exchange (NTUP) occurs in the food crop subsector, smallholder plantations and capture fisheries. The changes in the NTUP of each sub-sector are as follows: food crops -0.91 percent, horticulture 1.44 percent, people's plantation crops -3.16 percent, livestock farming 1.09 percent, fisheries 1.37 percent, capture fisheries -0.32 percent and aquaculture 2.07 percent.
