Abstract

· In February 2023, year on year (yoy) Inflation in Bengkulu City was 6.15 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 113.92. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 7.88 percent with a CPI of 120.04 and the lowest occurred in Waingapu at 3.57 percent with a CPI of 112.74.

· Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.52 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.41 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.78 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 4.27 percent; the health group by 5.38 percent; transportation group of 13.39 percent; the information, communication and financial services group by 0.51 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 5.38 percent; the education group by 3.26 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 5.77 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 5.38 percent.

· The February 2023 month-to-month (mtm) inflation rate for the city of Bengkulu was 0.04 percent and the year-to-date (ytd) inflation rate for February 2023 was 0.65 percent.
