Abstract
• In March 2023,
year on year (yoy) inflation for Bengkulu City was 5.65 percent with a Consumer
Price Index of 114.22. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Tual at 7.49
percent with a CPI of 117.19 and the lowest occurred in Merauke at 3.17 percent
with a CPI of 112.59.
• Inflation
occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the expenditure
group index, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.45 percent; the
clothing and footwear group by 2.82 percent; the housing, water, electricity
and household fuel group by 1.95 percent; equipment, equipment and household
routine maintenance group of 3.92 percent; the health group by 5.71 percent;
transportation group by 14.03 percent; the information, communication and
financial services group by 0.17 percent; recreation, sport and culture group
by 5.45 percent; the education group by 3.26 percent; the group providing food
and drink/restaurants by 5.94 percent; and the personal care and other services
group of 3.78 percent.
• Bengkulu month
to month (mtm) inflation rate in March 2023 was 0.25 percent and the March 2023
year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 0.92 percent.
