The Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 is to realize a sovereign, advanced and sustainable archipelago. For this reason, economic transformation, especially in the agricultural sector, is important to carry out. The agricultural sector is a sector that can make a major contribution to the national economy, including in Bengkulu Province. In the first quarter of 2024, the economic structure of Bengkulu Province was still dominated by the agricultural, forestry and fisheries business sectors at 29.07 percent.
The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) is a follow-up survey after the complete ST2023 census which is expected to be carried out periodically in accordance with the recommendations of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The main objective of the SEP is to obtain data on economic aspects of agricultural business units, including income, expenditure, cost structure, and welfare indicators of agricultural business units in Indonesia. In addition, SEP is also expected to provide basic data to monitor one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators.
To ensure the quality of the data produced, training was carried out for BPS SEP officers throughout Bengkulu Province using the blended learning method, namely online and continued offline on May 30-31, 2024, at the Splash Hotel Bengkulu. The Head of BPS Bengkulu Province, Ir. Win Rizal, ME, officially closed the SEP officer training, accompanied by the Head of General Affairs and Middle Officials of BPS Bengkulu Province.
The 2024 SEP field data collection in Bengkulu Province was carried out in all regencies and cities in Bengkulu Province, starting from June 1-30, 2024. The target sample in Bengkulu Province was 4,140 UTP, 94 UPB and 157 UTL.
