BPS Contribution in Developing Tourism Destination Governance

BPS Bengkulu Province contributes to the development of the Bengkulu Province Tourism sector by supporting the collection of tourism-related data carried out by the Bengkulu Tourism Office. On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Hendarto, S.E (Young Expert Statistician of BPS Bengkulu Province), was appointed as a Resource Person at the "Workshop on Understanding National Tourism Information System Indicators (Sisparnas)" of the Bengkulu Province Tourism Office. This activity was held in connection with the Tourism Destination Governance Development Activity.

In his presentation, Hendarto conveyed information related to data collection methods and techniques. By understanding the concept of data collection methods and techniques, it is hoped that the data collection process for Sisparnas can be carried out properly, so that the data collected can describe tourism conditions well.

The event, which was attended by all district/city Tourism Offices, surveyors, and related OPDs, was the first step in collecting National Tourism data.
