The process of planning, implementing, evaluating, and controlling good development is certainly also based on good statistical data and information. The statistical data and information are managed according to the principle of one Indonesian data through the application of data standards, metadata, data interoperability, and reference codes, by all stakeholders to strengthen the National Statistics System, one of which is through the Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation (EPSS).

EPSS is implemented to measure the achievement of the implementation of one Indonesian data and the implementation of Sectoral Statistics activities by measuring the maturity level of the implementation of Sectoral Statistics in Central Agencies and Regional Governments which is represented in the form of a Statistical Development Index (IPS) value.

On August 13-14, 2024, BPS Bengkulu Province held an EPSS Plenary Session which was attended by all BPS Work Units throughout Bengkulu Province and Representatives of the Bengkulu Provincial Government Regional Apparatus, namely Bappeda and Diskominfotik. Head of BPS Bengkulu Province, Ir Win Rizal, ME, in his speech said that BPS as a sectoral statistical data supervisor and assessor must be able to account for the results of the assessment carried out. "Let's work together to realize quality Sectoral Statistics," said Win Rizal.
