INTERNALIZATION OF SMALL AREA ESTIMATION (SAE) FOR QUALITY DATA

In order to improve employee understanding and the quality of data produced, BPS Bengkulu Province held BeKuda (Belajagh Kuday) which raised the theme of Small Area Estimation (SAE), online on Friday (6/9/2024).

The activity, which was officially opened by the Head of BPS Bengkulu Province, Ir. Win Rizal, ME, presented Adham Malay Japany (an employee of BPS Kaur Regency) as a resource person.

SAE is a statistical method that is very important in providing data in small areas. Given the often limited sample data available, SAE can be used as a solution to produce more accurate estimates at the small area level, such as sub-districts/villages. By applying this technique, we will obtain more detailed and relevant information. Ultimately, SAE is very useful in supporting decision-making at the national and regional levels.
