Abstract

  • Bengkulu Province NTP in August 2019 was recorded at 91.86 which means that the purchasing power of farmers in Bengkulu Province was still a deficit of 8.14 percent. This figure is lower than the NTP in July 2019 of 92.16 or down by 0.33 percent. The decline in Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) occurred in the smallholder estate crops and livestock subsector. The change in FTT for August 2019 for each subsector compared to July 2019 was as follows: the food crops sub-sector (NTPP) 97.09 (up 0.54 percent), horticultural subsector NTP (NTPH) 121.57 (up 0.10 percent) , NTP of the people's estate crops (NTPR) sub-sector 74.89 (down 1.20 percent), NTP of the livestock subsector (NTPT) 107.39 (down 0.32 percent) and NTP of the fisheries / fisheries sub-sector (NTN) 98.56 (up 1.69 percent). NTP of the capture fisheries sub-sector (NTNT) 105.46 (up 1.02 percent) and NTP of the aquaculture subsector (NTNB) 95.97 (up 1.97 percent). 
  • Agricultural Business Exchange Rates recorded at 102.97 or decreased by 0.45 percent when compared to July 2019 which was recorded at 103.44. The decline in Agricultural Business Exchange Rates (NTUP) occurred in the horticulture subsector, smallholder plantations and livestock. Changes in each NTUP subsector are as follows: food crops 0.45 percent, horticulture -0.04 percent, smallholder plantations -1.26 percent, livestock -0.65 percent, fisheries 1.46 percent, capture fisheries 0.94 percent and aquaculture 1.69 percent.
