Abstract

  • The Bengkulu Province NTP in February 2019 was recorded at 95.24 which means that the purchasing power of farmers in Bengkulu Province was still a deficit of 4.76 percent. This figure is higher than the January 2019 NTP of 94.64 or an increase of 0.63 percent. The increase in Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) occurred in almost all sub-sectors except the food crop subsector and the horticulture sub-sector. The change in NTP in February 2019 for each sub-sector compared to January 2019 was as follows: food crop subsector (NTPP) 102.18 (down 0.43 percent), horticulture sub-sector NTP (NTPH) 113.97 (down 2.56 percent) , People's plantation crop sub-sector (NTPR) NTP 82.50 (up 2.94 percent), livestock subsector NTP (NTPT) 106.71 (up 0.04 percent) and fisheries / fisheries sub-sector (NTN) NTP 98.29 (up 0.93 percent). Captive fisheries sub-sector (NTNT) NTP 106.59 (up 0.68 percent) and aquaculture fisheries subsector (NTNB) 95.17 (up 1.03 percent).
  • Agricultural Business Exchange Value was recorded at 103.76 or increased by 0.18 percent compared to January 2019 which was recorded at 103.58. The increase in Agricultural Business Exchange Value (NTUP) almost occurred in all sub-sectors except food crops, horticulture crops and livestock. Changes in NTUP for each sub-sector are as follows: food crops -0.93 percent, horticulture -2.86 percent, smallholder plantations 2.41 percent, livestock -0.26 percent, fisheries 0.36 percent, capture fisheries 0.17 percent and 0.43 percent aquaculture.
